A disciple is someone who has believed the message of the gospel, responded to the call of God in repentant faith, been baptized and, through the power of the Holy Spirit, is seeking to understand, obey and grow in the appropriations of all that Jesus taught his first disciples. (Matt 28:19) Jesus expects all born again Christians to be his disciples. The church can only grow if new believers are actively being discipled.

Discipleship is more than an important program of the church; it is its primary function. It focuses on the integration of heart and mind in a small group context, and is designed to dramatically alter the trajectory of spiritual growth in order to help individuals become more like Jesus Christ. A combination of focused Bible study, dynamic teachers,  experienced mentors, effective small groups and active response to the Word and the Spirit helps believers mature in their ability to articulate, defend and joyfully live out their faith in public and personal life.

Evangel Life maintains an atmosphere conducive to discipleship growth. Focused teachings for all stages of Christian growth and maturity are availed to all who desire it.   New believers and believers already established in the faith are motivated to grow deeper in their knowledge and revelation of Jesus Christ, and desire to be effective servants in the work of His Kingdom.
